Lángos Land

Traditionally lángos belongs to the market hall: the palm-sized flatbread is a great reward after a morning spent shopping for fresh produce. The most delicious Budapest lángos is still found at the markets, as with Lángos Land, located on the upper deck of the Fény utca market. Here, the lángos is actually more than palm-sized, but wonderfully doughy and crunchy and generously layered with toppings. Roasted sausages are also available.

Given the Buda location near well-off Rózsadomb, price points are above-average. If you have space left, head to Auguszt pastry shop around the corner for a Dobos or Esterházy cake.

To remain unbiased, I visit all places incognito and pay for my own meals and drinks. I rely in large part on readers to support my work. I'm grateful if you make a one-time payment (PayPal, Venmo, Revolut) or subscribe to my weekly newsletter in which I write about Budapest and Vienna.
