4Flórián Téri Krumplis Lángos
The not especially inviting underground passage at the Flórián tér transportation hub is known for two things. One, the remains of the Roman era thermal baths – Thermae Maiores – from the 1st century CE when Óbuda was a thriving city called Aquincum and part of Pannonia province. Two, the lángos vendor, whose feather-light, deep-fried flatbreads, made in part with a potato dough, are rightfully regarded among the best in Budapest, both in taste and value.
