In Hungarian "hintaló" means rocking horse, of which you will find plenty inside this retro-designed bar located in the outer part of District 8. The tucked away, deserted backstreet where Hintaló is located stands in a stark contrast with the lively atmosphere inside.
Hintaló Iszoda is a small, two-floored space with plenty of nooks and crannies, making it a good date spot too. It tends to get packed most evenings with a lively crowd with many German and other international students. Beer-drinkers will be pleased to see six types of local craft beers on tap and plenty more by the bottle. The neighborhood, although rapidly developing, is different from the more touristy areas of Budapest, but this shouldn’t stop you from discovering the less-visited sides of Budapest too.
