Trapéz is a hidden college bar that students and recent graduates of the nearby Corvinus University frequent. It's a small miracle that the tiny pre-war building, just a stone's throw away from hotels and major tourist attractions like the Great Market Hall, hasn't yet become the victim of real estate developers. Let's hope it stays that way.
Once you enter, don't be fooled by the relative calm and quiet of the ground floor—it's in the attic upstairs where the action is. Although the bar food won't knock you off your feet, the burgers are decent, prices reasonable (the local tap beer costs €2). Trapéz's homey interior features comfortable sofas, exposed wooden beams, and a densely carpeted wooden floor. Adding to the camaraderie is a foosball table, because no college bar is complete without a foosball table.
